Lip Lift: Get A Permanent Kylie Jenner Pout

With Kylie Jenner being the poster child for full lips, she’s blazed the trail for women across the world to start looking into procedures to give them plumper pouts. A popular trend is lip injections with fillers like Restylane, but those are temporary and need consistent maintenance. Plus, if you’re not a fan of needles, you’ll have to suck it up and bare through the multiple pricks.

Many don’t realize that there is a permanent solution to fuller lips. A lip lift is a surgical procedure that involves increasing the volume of the upper or lower lip for a more aesthetically appealing look.

Ideal Candidate:

This procedure is beneficial for a range of ages - women who were born with thin lips or who have noticed the volume of their lips shrinking as they age, who may feel self-conscious about their mouth shape or who compare themselves to the women they see on instagram whose lush lips are their biggest accessory.

How It Works:

The procedure is normally done under local anesthesia, where the patient is alert while the area is numbed.

An incision is then made right under the columella, and a small strip of skin and tissue from underneath the nose is removed. This lifts the upper lip into a perfect pout, exposing more of the pink portion of skin and exposing about ⅛” of the teeth. The procedure takes about 90 minutes.

Recovery ranges from 7-10 days, depending on how quickly your body heals. During this time you’ll most likely experience swelling and a sensation of tightness around your mouth. Swelling will gradually go down and virtually disappear about a month.
