Put A Face On It: The Liquid Facelift (Non-Surgical lift)

The process of looking for a plastic surgeon can be stressful enough, but the actual concept of going under the knife can cause even more fears to rise. Between the idea of complications from anesthesia, the cost of the procedure and the appearance after the surgery, many people would rather struggle with their appearance and confidence, than take the risk of having an anti-aging procedure like a facelift.

And facelifts can be pretty intimidating, especially because the incision can be more invasive than other procedures. Fortunately, there’s a nonsurgical facelift that has been developed, which incorporates a combination of dermal fillers and botox (or dysport). This is a completely non-invasive treatment and has little-to-no downtime, so it’s ideal for someone whose skin still has a fairly high level of elasticity with just initial signs of aging - the ideal age range for this would be late 30s to late 40s.

Dermal fillers, which contains the substance hyaluronic acid that is naturally produced by the body. Hyaluronic acid regulates moisture retention in the skin, but overtime its influence diminishes and the skin becomes flatter and drier. Dermal fillers are used in areas like the cheeks, the nasolabial folds (the smile lines), and along the jowl to erase deep lines by plumping up the skin and smoothing out the surface. And because Dermal fillers are composed with hyaluronic acid, the product naturally broken down by the body overtime. Typically dermal fillers last about a year, while botox (dysport) lasts about 6-8 months.

Another benefit to a liquid facelift is that the product is adjustable, so if you find you need an area reduced or enhanced, dermal fillers are easy to remove as well as replenish, so it makes for a very customizable treatment.
