If you’re noticing sagging skin and jowls throughout your face, puffiness under your eyes, and droopy lids, and want long-lasting results, you may be a candidate for a combination of surgical procedures.  Meet our beautiful patient of the week, who had a facelift, upper and lower eyelid surgery, fat transfer and an endoscopic brow lift for overall facial rejuvenation.

The entire aging process has an impact on our skin, muscle and fat throughout our face. As we age, we begin to see skin elastosis, the fat underneath our skin thins out, and our underlying muscles weaken. To turn back the clock, this patient had a facelift, upper and lower eyelid surgery, fat transfer and an endoscopic brow lift.

Facelift Surgery is designed to reverse the visible signs of facial aging, including the formation of jowls, which obscure the jaw line, the occurrence of a double chin and the appearance of vertical bands of the skin and muscle in the front of the neck. Upper and lower eyelid surgery (known as blepharoplasty) can address excess skin, muscle and fat (typically under eyes -what we sometimes call "puffiness"), leading to well rested, youthful eyes.

Fat transfer plumps up facial features with a patient's own fat and is a very popular alternative to other wrinkle treatments. Fat transfer to the face is a safe and natural procedure designed to contour your face and provide definition to your cheeks and chin. It can also be used to correct facial deformities and aging hands. Since the fat transfer is from your own body, there is no risk for allergic reaction. A brow lift is also a surgical procedure which addresses our brows and the forehead area.  As we age, our brows and forehead begin to droop. The effects of sun exposure and pull of gravity yield to sagging skin, wrinkle formation, and increased heaviness of the eyebrows and upper eyelids. A brow lift can reduce the wrinkles throughout the forehead & sagging brows that are holding the upper eyelids.

The results of these combination procedures are long term and noticeable within a few weeks after procedures, when performed by a board certified plastic surgeon. The best way to maintain these results is to have an overall healthy lifestyle and a skin regiment to protect and nourish your skin!
